Speaking

Rebecca’s messages reiterate the power of God through her personal journey and instill hope in the minds of all those listening who are facing difficult times and situations in their lives. She speaks courageously with unflinching honesty while teaching how to turn adversity into learning experiences and spiritual growth. Whether a single keynote speech or a series of messages for a conference or retreat, Rebecca’s messages will point you to God’s word and His unfailing love.

A few topics I’m available to speak on:

Obedience to God’s Will: Learning to submit to someone else’s plan often goes against our grain. My experiences have taught me that trying to go against God’s plan is like paddling upstream…backwards…without an oar…or a boat. Romans 12:2, Matthew 7:7-12

Working through Marriage/Divorce/Adultery with God ~ Been there, done that. I’ve fought for my marriage, through a spouse’s infidelity, and a divorce. God has brought me on a journey of trials and I can honestly say I truly love my husband and am happy in my marriage. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13, Ephesians 5, 1 Peter 3

The Armor of God ~ Why God offers this to believers, how it’s meant to help us and How we are to use it. Ephesians 6:14-17

Spiritual and physical healing ~ Sharing what God can do when we get out of His way. God used me, an unwilling participant, to heal my husband of kidney failure. Then healed me, an obedient follower of Christ, of nerve damaged, which was an unexpected result of surgery. Psalm 30

Marriage and a First Responder ~ Being the spouse of a Law Enforcement Officer is a unique place to be. I went from fighting for a lead position in the family, due to his continual absence, to humbly respecting his place as head of the household. Ephesians 4:2-3, 1 Peter 3, Matthew 5:1-12

Blending Families ~ His kids, my kids, our kids…it certainly takes a village, or in our case, a congregation. God has blessed me with two daughters from my first marriage and a son from my current marriage. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

How to Hear and Learn to Trust the Directions God is Giving You ~ There have been times when I just can’t believe what God is asking of me! But it always seems to turn out best when I heed His loving call. Psalm 56

Forgiveness ~ I have found that forgiving is a great gift that takes time and prayer to achieve. When I am able to forgive, we think it benefits those we are forgiving, but we ourselves are usually the greatest recipients of God’s grace in these situations. 1 Corinthians 13, 1 Peter 4

Caregiving and Patience: ~ With God’s help I have been strong enough to care for a special needs child and nurse my husband through several near-death experiences…all at the same time. Patience is the Holy Spirit at work through me. 2 Timothy 1:6-14, Romans 8:18-30

I hope you enjoy this sample of one of Rebecca’s talks
